Tenses    

The tense of a verb tell us the time when the action take place. Verbs come in three tenses :- Present , Past , Future.

Example :- 

He writes a letter.(present tense)

He wrote a letter.(past tense)

He will write a letter.(future tense)

There are twelve verb tenses forms, they are :-

Present perfect continuous tense describes the action that started in the past and is continue at present time.

Note :- We use for when we talk about a period of time - three hours, Ten years, Two decade.

             We use since when we talk about exact point of time - 1980, 7 o'clock, Sunday.
