Types of Noun
Nouns can be of different types.They are as Follows :-
Common Noun :- A noun used to refer general category/class is called common noun.Common nouns don't start with capital letter unless they begin with sentence.They indicate the class of a person, place, animal, thing etc.
For example :-
Person - doctor, boy, woman,teacher
Place - city, school, hospital
Animal - dog, cat, elephant
Thing - table, pen, book

Proper Noun :- A noun used to refer to the name of a particular person, place, animal, thing is called proper noun. Proper nouns are special names given to a person, place, animal, thing, day, month, river etc. Proper noun always starts with capital letter.

Place - Mumbai, Delhi, India, Japan
Day- Monday, Sunday, Friday
Monument - Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar

One words :- notebook, eyebrow, tabletop etc.
